If you inform her that he has been enslaved and forced to work for a Moriarty in Megaton, she'll express sadness at what happened to him, but will be glad to know he's safe and will tell the player, to say she said not to try and escape, reasoning that slavery is preferable fate to being killed out in the wasteland.
Parental Substitute: Carol was one to Gob, much to Greta's annoyance, before he was "hired" by Colin Moriarty. And if you did that by nuking Megaton, literally the entire settlement-including Charon even if he is a companion-will turn hostile. Mama Bear: Despite her being one of the nicest characters in the game, If you tell Carol you killed Gob, she'll immediately turn hostile. Lipstick Lesbians: They're very heavily implied to be in an relationship though they never say so directly, they do share bed and Greta is very possessive of Carol. Break the Cutie: If Carol loses both Greta and Gob, she will become very depressed. Carol is also the adoptive mother of Gob, which according to her, Greta made very jealous. Carol was one of the first people to settle at Underworld, after losing her father to a nuclear explosion while fleeing for shelter.
